Mark S. Patt


Mark S. Patt has been practicing law for 35 years, and he has been with the firm of Trope and Trope since March, 1978.  Mr. Patt has been a partner of the firm for more than 27 years, and in addition to practicing almost exclusively in the area of family law during that time, Mr. Patt acts as the administrative partner for the firm.

Mr. Patt has co-authored articles for the Los Angeles County Bar Family Law Section Symposium for the past ten years, and he has also published articles concerning California child support law. In the early 1990's, he acted as consultant to various California State Legislatures with regard to child support and other family law legislation, and he has also participated as a panelist at a California State Bar Convention Law Office Management Seminar. Mr. Patt has been an active participant in the Los Angeles Superior Court Mediation Program for many years. Additionally, Mr. Patt acts as a consultant to a family law/divorce resource website.

Outside of his practice, Mr. Patt enjoys giving back to the community. He taught Family Law for two years as an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California School of Law, and for nine years, he was a high school mock trial coach, working with high school students.
