James has been practicing law in California since 1991, and now specializes in Family Law and Civil Litigation. He has contributed to various articles on family law issues. Prior to law school, he completed a management training program with Marine Midland Bank, N.A.

He received a unanimous vote for the MVP trophy from his men's softball team "Past Our Prime."
